Jonathan Masson is an osteopath in Dakar, having earned his degree from the Centre Européen d’Enseignement Supérieur de l’Ostéopathie (CEESO) in Lyon, France. CEESO is recognized by the Ministère des Grandes Ecoles d’Ostéopathie and is a member of the Comité International of the American Academy of Osteopathy.
During this five-year program, Jonathan completed internships with the Association Enfants Handicapés Espoir Ostéopathique and in a hospital setting in the fields of:
- Orthopedic Surgery
- Visceral Surgery
- Ob-Gyn
- Medical Imagery
- ER
In order to enrich his understanding of anatomy, Jonathan also participated in cadaver dissections over the course of three years at Paris V’s University of Medicine.
Drawing on both osteopathic and medical research in French and English, Jonathan wrote his thesis on the impact of Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment on the immune and lymphatic system (« L’impact de l’Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment sur le Système Immunitaire et Lymphatique »).
In 2003-2004, he worked as a public health instructor in Saint-Louis, Senegal.
In 2002, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University, USA.
In 2001-2002, Jonathan did a French language immersion program at the Université Laval in Quebec City, Canada.
Jonathan is an American who speaks both English and French fluently.
